You may not believe it but I became an Igbo language instructor
I have an incredible story to share that I can’t believe myself, but it’s true! This is my personal journey, and I’ve decided to break out of my shell and share my accomplishments. If you struggle with owning your own stories, join me on this quest, and together, we’ll unravel and inspire one another.
Some of you may have seen me on the SEVICS AFRICA YouTube Channel or on my Personal Channel, where we discuss leadership and personal development. Don’t forget to like the videos and leave a comment – and of course, have you subscribed yet? Now, let me share my recent accomplishment – successfully completing my first semester as a language instructor, teaching my precious Igbo language. Shout out to Kedu Academy and Medicine Shell YouTube Channel! It’s not just any language; Igbo is considered difficult to learn and speak.
“But wait, aren’t you Igbo, bro?” You got me! I am a full-blooded Igbo man, but here’s the catch – many Igbo people, including me, did not grow up speaking the language fluently. In Nigerian schools, speaking vernacular was prohibited, and Igbo was only taught in a limited way. As a result, many of us spoke better English than our native language. Moreover, I come from the Nsukka region, so the dialect I grew up speaking at home was not central Igbo, making it challenging to communicate outside my family circle.
Despite the obstacles, I refused to give up. I kept pushing and studying, and now, I can comfortably teach the language. It’s a testament that we can achieve anything we set our minds to if we don’t quit. So, if you’re struggling to learn a language or pursuing any goal, remember my story – don’t stop, keep pushing, and you will succeed. You can become whatever you set your mind to, no matter where you start.
The key is to take that first step without stalling. Let’s embrace our stories, share them, and inspire others to be confident and bold in pursuing their dreams. Together, we can make a difference. So hit that subscribe button, and let’s embark on this exciting journey of growth and success. I’ll see you in the next video! Thank you all for your support, and remember, you have the power to achieve greatness. Keep pushing and keep believing in yourself!
